Matignon Students Celebrate Easter in France

April 12, 2018

On Saturday, March 31, French Teacher Madame Gaffey departed for Paris with this year’s student exchange group. Spending Easter Sunday with families in France was a special treat for everyone. During the week, the group visited the Louvre; the Musee d'Orsay; the Musee Rodin; Versailles; Chartres Cathedral; the Pantheon; Montmartre; and the Hotel des Invalides, where Napoleon’s tomb is located. As always, nights and weekends were spent with families. Students embraced both the culture and the language of France and were delighted to find many things they recognized from their studies in the classroom. Families reported that they were quite willing to hone their language skills as well during their stay. Matignon’s exchange programs to France and Spain have been going on since 2009. They are always a big hit with our students and families, as well as with the students and families of our partner schools in France and Spain.
