“The talents of Fr. Matignon were of the highest order. In him were united a sound understanding, a rich and vigorous imagination, and a logical precision of thought. His learning was extensive, critical and profound; his divinity a blended influence of thought, feeling, and action.” --From Fr. Matignon's Obituary, March 1818

The ideals instilled in Fr. Matignon's character, embodied by his work, drive our school today. His presence is alive and well in our students, teachers, alumni, and families, and it is with that in mind that we celebrate our tradition of excellence. Over our first three years, we have raised nearly $700,000 for financial aid from the Gala. Each year more than 200 people gather to recognize our honorees and celebrate the school. The support, camaraderie, and goodwill bestowed upon Matignon High School each year demonstrates that the Matignon family continually strives to live up to the image of our namesake.

We invite you to once again help our current and future students receive the opportunity of a Catholic education in the strong academic setting that is Matignon High School. With your support of the Tradition of Excellence Gala you are not only honoring all that is Matignon High School, but you will also give back to a great educational institution, allowing ever-important financial aid dollars to be available to more and more students in need.
